Is there any one book out there that just teaches the latest and greatest version of ASP.NET without teaching C# or .NET libraries?

A:

I'm a big fan of ASP.NET Unleashed by SAMS

I've got the 2.0 edition, but I'm sure they have them for all versions

Alternatively here's a couple of the top selling ASP books on Amazon:

I also like the Wrox books...

Pro ASP.NET 3.5 in C# 2008: Includes Silverlight 2, Third Edition by Matthew MacDonald and Mario Szpuszta

Note: Yeah, there Silverlight in this book. It is even in earlier editions of this book that lacked "Silverlight" in it's title. However, ASP.NET is it's sole focus.

Fritz Onion's Essential ASP.NET 2.0 is a good, deep look at the core of ASP.NET 2.0. It's also not a huge doorstop, which is nice.

+1 It's a book I keep going back to.
