Good luck! I think it might be easier to get a list of available domains from a list that you have in mind. Use freely available domain checkers from the major registrars to see if you can acquire them.

ICANN publishes the complete list of TLD registries and domain name registrars. I guess the trick would be to get a list, but of all registrars, and ask each one of them for a list of their registered domains?
That doesn't sound fun... or practical.
