I am using ReportViewer 2008, with ASP.NET and C#.

I have a cell in a matrix table. I'm interested in formatting the insides of the cell so that as if there was another table in there - I'm talking about the very top left of the matrix report.

  1. However I cannot add a table - this would cause rendering issues which will prevent the cell from displaying once the Report is exported to Excel.
  2. So my solution is to manually add spaces however in HTML multiple spaces are compressed and I can't find a way to add a non breaking space.

What's the best way to spaces in the report cell?

Or alternatively is there another, better non-hacky workaround?
