Alert a user to rate an application from iTunes

Hi,

I am new to iPhone. I heard from few people that it is possible to show a alert to user @ iTunes (mobile and iTunes desktop) and get a rating of the application. Is this true and possible ?

No. The only thing you can do is show an alert view to the user from within your OWN app (or your website, etc) that is linked to your app on the App Store:
