oracle certification for programmers/developers? Are there any?

In oracle site, I see oracle certifications for DBAs. http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=155&p_org_id=1001&lang=US

But I would like to take a certification which would be helpful to me as a developer. Are there any?. Thanks in advance.

Yes there are. There are certification tracks for Apex, PL/SQL, and Oracle Forms

It is also worth looking through the list here. searching for all instances of "Application Developer".

The "Application Developer" certification is for Applications Express (APEX). It's quite different than a theoretical certificate for relational design and PL/SQL programming, which is what I believe the original poster was looking for.

I disagree, the Apex exam just happens to be the first hit, what happens when you look for all instances of "Application Developer"?

For a J2EE/JSF framework, Oracle offers Oracle ADF (Application Development Framework) training (typically 1 week) that includes a certification.
