What are some of the new and noteworthy features in Eclipse Helios, particularly with respect to the Java IDE?
I looked around the website but couldn't find any release notes.

The top Google page for eclipse helios is the plan with each of the major components linked from there. Now normally I'd cut and paste the lot in here for some cheap rep but there's too much to cover and I'm feeling lazy :-)

This blog post provides a link to the new-and-noteworthy page (with screenshots) for each of Helios intermediate builds.
I haven't seen a page listing them all together, but it's pretty easy to just check all 7 links in that post. Each page is categorized, so you can jump directly to the JDT (Java Development Tools) details.

Clicking on the name of a package from the Helios download page will take you to a detailed view for that package.
