Recently I got a proposal to take a position with Navision. I have to give a reply soon but I'm at a loss.

I've been doing ASP.NET/SQL last years, recently ASP.NET MVC/jQuery. I really enjoy creating web software. Web thought pattern, design, usability it's what I like.

Still, in the region where I'm located (Germany) it's extremely difficult borderline impossible to find a decent inhouse .NET position. So I might try this one or let it go and search further (searching for over a year for something better than I have already).

I'd like to be doing something modern, creative and innovative. Don't want to be a coder. Don't want to do maintenance. Want to create software, design architecture, accomplish projects and enjoy seeing them up an running.

Last years I've been working on some custom enterprise software developed with ASP.NET, I guess this background is why I got this proposal.

If I were to try Navision, can it be that I start to hate every day of my job? I've heard stories about Sharepoint that people calling it the worst days of their career path. Will I go away from developing activities and only do configuring/maintenance? Will I lose my developer skills and become stupid through all this?

Do Navision jobs pay well? Is there a market where a developer can grow? I don't remember hearing much about Navision so I fear it's some minor exotic market.

I have to give an answer soon, but so far my googling hasn't given me much information. I apologize if the question doesn't fit the format of StackOverflow (though I've seen lots of career-related question here) but I have no idea where else to ask.

P.S. Only 19 question tagged "navision", telling something...
