No matter what I do to the parameter settings, the entire article is being displayed. How can I limit that to only show a few lines of the article and then have a read more and see more link to show up?

That's not what I want. Let's say an article is 60 lines long. I only want the first say 8 or 10 lines to show with a read more link. How can I do that?

Well, put the caret in the end of 8-th or 10-th line, and press `read more`. You will notice red curved line appeared in your article. All content that is above this line will be displayed on front-end, followed by 'Read more...' link, through which the entire article can be accessed.
