What would be a good wiki-like CMS for developing a web portal to list restaurants and their menus (preferably in .Net)? It will be community maintained. Any ideas will be appreciated.

I guess this could help you choose - All options - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_content_management_systems

Thanks Pavan, I have been there already and also here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_wiki_software. I just was looking for more specific advice (and hopefully personal experience with a platform), since those lists are not exhaustive (or even up to date). Thanks for your help anyway!

I will recommend you Drupal.

Neither a Wiki nor .NET - Double Fail

.Net will force you to run in a windows hosting and Drupal has a wiki module and a lot more. If you think about it Drupal is the CMS that runs whitehouse.gov, I wonder why?

.NET does not force you to run in a windows hosting, given that Mono with it's asp.net engine works quite well on many platforms. However, that's largely beside the point because the asker most certainly wants .net so that he can work in a language he knows to write modules or whatever other extension mechanisms there might be, rather than having to learn php or perl or something. If someone asks for peanut butter, and you say "I recomment miracle whip", then you fail, regardless of your reasons. Regarding whitehouse.gov. who cares? They chose it most likely because they were familiar withit
Mystere Man
You are right Mystere Man, it's more about the language (c#). We need a foundation, not too big, where we can build upon using our current skills. As it will be community managed, I think a wiki is the way to go, but then again I'm open to suggestions.

@redhatlab indeed, if experienced architects selected Drupal because it aligned with their architectural strategy, which is specific to their organization, and that organization is well-known, then Drupal is clearly the right choice for *everyone*.
