Select event in Google Calendar to produce Javascript event

I'm builing a project where I'd like to use an embedded Google Calendar (http://www.google.com/calendar/embedhelper) where my users can view a set of events and then click on an event to choose it.

Is there anyway that I can trigger a JavaScript funktion when clicking on an event?

I've looked through the Google documentation on this but can't find anything...
