i cannot see video with "movie player", "GNOME video" OR with "VLC media player" .. ANnyone have any guesses??

Try the package “win32codecs” to play .wmv and .wma files. But this has nothing to do with DVDs…

well i was thinking that since the loss of video coincided with the loss of my VLC as well as browser playback ... so i thought they were related
