I'm looking to get a logo designed, but all my designer friends/colleagues are pretty busy.

Since I've never done it before, I thought it would be interesting to crowd source the design.

Does anyone know of any good design crowd sourcing sites?

Try 99designs.com

I'll second the 99designs.com that is what Jeff used to get the logo for Stack Overflow

I'm looking to get a pizza – I think I'll call a couple of the places by my house, and ask each of them to send me a pie. After I try each, I'll pick the one I like, and pay that guy. All the others I'll toss out and not pay for their time, materials, or skills.

Oh wait, back to reality, that's just a ridiculous idea.

crowdsourcing
At least the pizza maker gets some much needed practice at making/delivering pizzas which might come in handy for his pizza making career

No wait -- how about instead of actually giving advice on the best pizza, you criticize the idea of trying to find the best pizza in this way (instead secretly hoping that somebody would pay you to make the pizza). Oh nevermind -- that would be even more ridiculous. *rolls eyes at 'crowdsourcing's profile*

My company used Crowdspring for our logo.

I believe Guerra Creativa is a nice crowd sourcing initiative. They have a community with mostly Latin American designers and they seem to come up with more creative designs for logo's and websites. I believe that this is the problem with most of these larger crowd sourcing sites. They work too much like factories with standard logos and clipart etc. Creativity is something that I always like in a design and not just another "off the shelve" design.
