Hi,

I'm looking for a Silverlight book (unlikely) or some tutorials aimed at people who know how WPF operates. I mean there's obviously lots of overlapping stuff and I would prefer reading something that assumes that I understand how WPF works, describes things that are available in Silverlight and not in WPF and vice versa and highlights how the same things produce different results (if any).

I understand that if I wanted to learn from scratch I would just buy Pro Silverlight 2 in C# 2008 by Matthew MacDonald but I've browsed through it's TOC and one can clearly see that there's a lot of copy/pasting from his Pro WPF book (which is perfectly natural) so if some notes of differences are hidden inside of some chapter it looks like it would be a painful experience to try and find them.

Any pointers?

Thanks!

Good idea for a book, but maybe as you said... it's not as good for an editor (why selling a thin book when you can have an expensive one just with a bunch of copy pasting).

Taking a look at Mix 09 I have found a webcast that maybe could be interesting for you (not exactly what you are looking for, but I think it's interesting):

Thanks! This is a little from the other side but a really good starting point.

There's a whitepaper on the matter now http://wpfslguidance.codeplex.com/

I highly recommend Silverlight2 In Action. It doesn't have the from WPF approach, but I like many of the 'in action' books. They seem to go deeper than most.
