One guy mention how sites with 'crap' run slow on iphones and blackberries. What is the 'crap' he is talking about? what makes it slow? There was a severe pause on his phone when he showed me an example site.

the 'crap' he mentions is most likely either heavy javascript, a lot of flash or huge images. please be clear on who the 'guy' is and what site you're talking about for a more clear answer!

+1. I checked out the site and every link is written in by JS (<script>var link='link';document.write('<a href="/'+link+'/">');</script>huge images? i would not have thought that.
