I'm amazed that Azure still hasn't released their pricing break down yet.

Does anyone know what it is going to cost roughly?

All I've heard is "competitive". So maybe the google app engine prices might be an 'indication': http://code.google.com/appengine/docs/billing.html

Invest your time and energy learning LINQ and WCF. Then if Azure's pricing makes it work for a project you have in the future, you won't have much of a learning curve.

I'd agree with this. If you know ASP.NET you'll pick up Azure very quickly.
