Is there an equivalent of the XADD command in .Net? This is, after all, the most efficient method of locking / checking locks for critical sections or for ensuring accurate increments in a multi-threaded environment.
I looked through the IL opcodes, but couldn't find an equivalent.

I have downloaded June bits of Pex and June bits of SlimDX SDK. Installed them on my RTM VS2010 Premium.
Pex explorations do not work. Reverting to Feb 2010 bits of SlimDX seem to cure the problem.
I've asked the same question on Microsoft Forums and SlimDX forums, and neither party wants to own this. How can I even begin to troubles...
I'm working with a legacy application that uses OleDB to connect to an Oracle10g database.

I have a .NET class (for discussion, ClassA) that calls a SQL Server stored procedure (for discussion, fooSproc), processing the results with a SqlDataReader. The rows are processed, and the columns are referenced using the name of the column in the returned result set. For example, where dr is the SqlDataReader, something like dr["col...
I'm working on a custom DotNetNuke module which requires the use of Lightbox. What's the best way to add the javascript necessary for Lightbox to a DNN module?
Nearly all the solutions I've seen involve adding the javascript references to the skin file. Is there another way to accomplish this? I'd hate to have those javascript files ...

I have an application that fetches data from a database and stores it in memory for later use.
I've tested this application for around 7000 data rows but when I want to use it for 10000 or more I ran into a StackOverflow exception. This is so weird because I think I should get OutOfMemory, not Stackoverflow if my data is too big.

End Enum
What attribute should I use in place of Foo for plain-text descriptions of the Enum?

Is it possible to instantiate a pointer using (unsafe) C# at any given memory address (which one would be the lowest?) and simply start overwriting the memory with continuous random data until a PC crashes?
Could someone provide me with an example?

Howdy,
I have about 5000 html files in a folder. I need to loop through them, open, grab say 10 values using xpath, close, and store in (SQL Server) DB.
What is the easiest way to do read the xpath values using .Net?
The xpaths should be pretty stable.
Please provide example code to read one value, say /html/head/title/text()
Than...
I am trying to wrap an unmanaged c++ interface composed of several abstract structs (with all pure virtual methods) and a small factory namespace which returns handles (shared_ptrs) to these structs.
It seems that, because of this, I might be able to get away with merely marshalling pointers through as System.IntPtr types (although them...
