On this help page for Adobe Acrobat 9: Automate Password Entry for a Batch Sequence

The instructions are wrong. Pasted below:

"""""""""""""""""" Before you batch process PDFs that are encrypted or password protected, you can set your digital ID to enter the required password automatically.

1 Choose Advanced > Security Settings. 2 Select Digital IDs from the left. 3 Select an ID from the list on the right and then select the following:

Login Logs in using the specified digital ID. Type the password and click OK.

Logout Logs out the specified digital ID when you run a sequence.

""""""""""""""""""

What do I do after step 3? I don't see "login" or "logout" anywhere after selecting selecting my digital id.

I found an alternative but it's interesting none the less...

In Adobe Acrobat Pro, go to the edit menu then preferences. Then Batch Processing from the list on the left. Then select an option on the right for security method. I chose password security and save warnings and errors in log file.

Now when I run my batch it has me enter a password once that it will try to log into all those documents with (that require it).

An article from articles factory called automatic-pdf-batching-with-adobe-acrobat-pdf-workflow-with-batch-sequences, helped.
