Anyways, trying to learn website design this summer. So i registered a free site. I want to have a good source that i can read along while working on this site...

So what are some good books (available online) for html?

I don't have any ebooks but I have to recommend HTMLDog very highly. It is the best HTML and CSS reference I know of. Along with W3Schools you've got enough information to be going with. I'll look for some in my archived folder though.

i thought W3Schools sucked.. or that's what i read on here...Also i dont wanna just learn some tags and stuff just for the purpose of building a website. I want to learn it thoroughly

It wasn't my preferred site either. HTMLDog has a great beginners tutorial at http://htmldog.com/guides/htmlbeginner/gettingstarted/, I couldn't find a HTML ebook however, sorry.
Ross
its ok, i found the html dog ebook, that might be good... gonna check it out

This isn't an ebook, but it gets right to the point and has just about everything basic to somewhat intermediate.
