I'm trying to insert a new table into a document but have run into a frustrating problem.

The insertion point is currently defined by a Bookmark and I want to be able to add the table between the BookmarkStart and BookmarkEnd elements but have found that if they reside within a Paragraph element then Word won't open the resulting document. If I [manually] move the table markup in the document.xml file to be outside the paragraph then the document opens and the table is displayed (hence I know my table markup is valid).

So my question is: How can I insert a table at a specific position but ensuring that it is not within a paragraph tag.?

I don't mind changing the method of specifying the insertion point but it has to be maintainable from Word and not require opening the package and tweaking the document.xml file.

Thanks in advance.
