Is there an expected release date for Rails 3?

I've heard that Rails 3 is "just around the corner".

Does that mean sometime in 2009?

Has a release date been discussed/conjectured about?

No release date yet. But I'm sure its coming soon :) You can play with it right now if you want by downloading the current master branch at github.
