I'm using Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition. (version 9.0.30729.1 SP)
I get an error when displaying virtually any kind of control in design view, e.g. textbox, dropdownlist, checkbox etc. The designer displays a panel containing the text
Error Rendering Control - An unhandled exception has occurred 'True' could not be set on property 'AllowInserting'
The problem happens on both aspx and ascx pages, it can happen for an existing page that previously displayed fine, or on a brand new page with the first control added.
It does not affect running the project, its just inconvenient when using design view.
Has anyone come across this or know of a fix?
