I agree that the best of the best is http://phpvideotutorials.com . I purchased the series on building a simple CMS with CakePHP 1.2.x, and it totally blew my mind.
It's crammed full of info, and the Aussie presenter is not only a great teacher who has done a fab job of including source files and study guides with each lesson; he's also hilarious!
Best $15 I've spent in a long time. After 3 weeks of staring at cakephp.org's somewhat lacking documentation (I'm sure it's great if you're already an expert), spending a couple hours with those tutorials did the trick
