Does anyone know a place where I can either get cheap deals or exchange advert space for free hosting for a coldfusion 8 website, + MYSQL 5? I want unlimited space, broadband etc.

The previously mentioned freecoldfusionhosting.com is the only actual free host I'm aware of. Not free but I've used GearHost for several years now. Great support and very affordable plans.

Alurium Hosting has one of the best deals going, if you are okay running your code on Railo (and you should be, because it's awesome).
For $6.75 a month, you can get quite a deal.

The next step up from there is $20/mo.
There's an even cheaper version, but I didn't suggest it since it gives "only" 10GB of storage, and you say you want unlimited space. Unlimited bandwidth is a part of the deal, however.
But free? Working out a deal where you trade advert space is something you'll have to investigate on your own. I doubt it's a standard part of anyone's pricing.
