Python Forums

Are there any good Python forums where one can get help? I have tried http://www.python-forum.org/ but I never seem to get any responses.

I don't really feel that Stack Overflow is the appropriate place for every little question I come across, and typically these questions will require discussion, which is something that SO is not for.

You might want to try the Python IRC channel. IRC is a good way to interact with other users, and lends itself well to discussion.

Yah same story there too, I'm in there but no one replies... IDK.

I guess you are there at the wrong times. Um usually there from like 1830 GMT+2, and it is pretty active at that time.

Check out your local Python user groups for discussion if nothing else you will get to know some people with great knowledge they will be willing to share most have their own forums a lot have IRC and you might get a better response from people you know.

I always found joining these groups expanded the number of experts I get to know.

see http://wiki.python.org/moin/LocalUserGroups for a list for your country/area.

On Usenet, the Python newsgroup is very active. You'll be able to find answers to many problems or get answers quickly. The link points to the Google groups web interface.

I have found the #python people at irc.freenode.net extremely helpful.

There is a python Tutor mailing list which provides excellent non-judgmental advice on all things pythonic:
