Best language communities

Question

Often, a language won't have its own community, or the "official" community isn't the most popular one. For all the languages you use, what is your favorite place to visit (besides SO!) for help - or just plain discussion/complaints?

EDIT: Just based on the answers I've seen so far, there appear to be plenty of reference sites too. I don't have anything against them, and they can be very useful, but I'm more interested in the communities (of course, I could just be misinterpreting some posts, so I'm not voting anyone down!)

Perl Monks is a great resource for Perl, questions usually get answered quickly and there are a number of high-profile Perl hackers that frequent the site.

Personally, when coding C++, the best place I've found for discussion and help is ##c++ on freenode (and ##iso-c++ too). comp.lang.c++.moderated is also really nice (I never visit the non-moderated group; it's got too much spam).

On IRC, I've found that Freenode has channels for many, many languages. I prefer Freenode to other networks, as well.

Java Ranch is a great resource for Java developers. The Big Moose Saloon is their message board for asking questions and getting answers.

I currently do a lot of .NET intranet development and I like the forums at ASP.NET.

www.php.net/manual/ the golden part of the manual are user comments, because the users are writing the things by themselves so I think that community is awesome.

If you count the POV-Ray scene description language as a language, one of my favorite place to hang out is the forums at www.povray.org
