I'm using SIFR version 436 and have found that when moving around my site it is taking an age for the page to load in any browser but Firefox 3.5.7. I've tested it locally using xampp as well as on a live url and have found that page load times even on localhost can take up to 4 seconds. When a link is clicked, the browser moves to the updated URL but a white screen is up for quite some time before any of the content gets displayed. Why is it that this isn't the case for Firefox? Does it treat SIFR differently? has anybody else experienced this?

The flash file I have for the text replacement is 19kb, and on some pages I am replacing up to a maximum of 10 h2 tags. I have tested in Chrome, Opera, IE6, IE7 and IE8 and get very similar results in each.

Is there a way of speeding up the page load? and if so, what could I be doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help.
