I need a list of Countries, States, Counties, etc, and their cities. Any recommended sites or apis having such data?

http://www.bing.com/search?q=iso+country+codes will start you on a somewhat standard list of countries. It starts to get a bit trickier after that for states.

I could recommend http://www.openstreetmap.org/. You can download their whole database with geo data and lots of additional information (worldwide).
