Hi All, I am due to sit my CCENT exam in about 3 weeks, for anyone who has sat the exam recently or knows about the exam:

  1. How many questions is in the exam
  2. How long does the exam go for
  3. Will there be a lot of question based on the CLI commands?
+1  A:
  1. Duration: 90 Minutes (40-50 questions)
  2. The ICND1 and ICND2 exams are $125 each, but the single CCNA exam is $250
  3. Exam topics: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/current_exams/640-822.html#examtop

And, yes, CLI questions will fill up the exam along with subnetting problems. I suggest worrying about SDM related later, after mastering the command line interface.

Check out these practice exams for more information: http://www.examcollection.com/640-822.html
NOTE: you'll need a copy of http://www.visualcertexam.com to run the exams.

For network simulation and practice, give these a shot:

  2. http://networksims.com
  3. http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/netacad/course_catalog/PacketTracer.html

Awesome, that was the best response ever.

Just as a correction, I am taking my CCENT test tomorrow. I paid $150. I've also seen that the CCNA is $150 with the CCNA composite test being $300. A small difference to the first response but noteworthy none-the-less.

Also, my friend just passed his CCENT and said that Simlet's are huge on the test (meaning a Simulation with multiple questions asked about it) and subnetting is a big part of it.

As I understand it, the only Routing Protocol you'll really need to know all of is RIPv1 and RIPv2.

Hi Dale, thanks for the reply, would you also agree with 'Israel ANY' That questions regarding CLI were also heavily covered in the CCENT exam?
