I want to organize my music library. I've had MP3's since 1998, traveling with me from hard drive to hard drive, computer to computer, etc. Despite the fact that all I've done was modify metadata of the file and despite the fact that they seem to by default acquire the creation date of the date of using the new computer, I want to know: Is there anyway of learning exactly what date the MP3 was first acquired or created? Why is it that the earliest creation date (or any metadata date attribute, for that matter) of any of my MP3 files matches the date of putting Windows 7 on my computer?
