I'm currently working a lot with Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM)s as well as Configuration Workbook within one product and two projects and versions. These are currently created within MS Excel which is rather difficult to maintain and control (due to different Software and Workbook versions).
The Excel Configuration Workbook tries to represent a tree structure, which I see is more easy performed within another tool, e.g. a Wiki structure.
BUT (!) if a wiki is to be used I need to ensure that I can easy refresh the wiki structure when Software updates is to be performed at customer site, it must be possible to upload one Wiki structure based on a Master wiki structure so the old configuration workbook can be updated with the new parameters, modules etc. of the newer Software version and this in some automatic way...
Anyone who has solved this problem before? / M
