Server: Windows 2008 R2 Standard

Team Foundation Server 2010

WSS 3.0

TFS Configuration: Single Server instalation (including SharePoint)

The following error occurs when trying to create a new team project from my local machine. The ://sourcecontrol site and ://sourcecontrol/sites/DefaultCollection/ site appears to be functioning fine and my user is a Site collection administrator on both. I can navigate both sites through a browser on my local machine. Thanks for your help!

A:

Was SharePoint installed on the box by the Team Foundation Server setup, or you have manually installed and configured SharePoint? Based on the error message it looks like there is a problem with the TeamFoundationIntegrationService.asmx web service.

Could you please open Internet Explorer and navigate to http://sourcecontrol/_vti_bin/TeamFoundationIntegrationService.asmx and let me know what you see (blank page, error, page loads successfully). If you open Team Foundation Server Administration Console and click on the "Extensions for SharePoint Products" can you see your SharePoint web application listed?

Also I would try the following in the Administration Console:

  • Click on the SharePoint Web Application
  • Select the SharePoint Web Application
  • Click on the "Repair Connection" link on the right side
  • Try to create a new team project

Let me know how it goes. Ladislau
