I want to create a bridge between Pligg and Wordpress. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble finding any general information on how to approach the project. I'm a php/mysql amateur, but I have some time to work on this project and learning more is an important benefit for me.
Would you recommend any books, websites, tuts, CBTs, or other materials specific to the task of creating a bridge between two applications both for login and some sharing of data? How about recommending a web developer who might let me learn from him in exchange for some reasonable compensation? :)
