Our users have issues where the Document Information Panel(DIP) appears on Word, Excel, PPT documents. Here is the scenario:
- User downloads a copy of a template from the portal to his/her local hard drive.
- User edits that template and renames the file, again saving it to his/her local drive.
- User continues to edit and update that new document, and it continues to prompt him/her for document information as if the user was saving it on the portal.
- User clicks the “X” to remove this DIP bar, the next time he/she opens the local file it comes back.
Is there anything I can do to make the DIP NOT SHOW on the local copies?
