Hi Which is best book to learn HTML, CSS, Javascript, ASP.NET 3.5 & Ajax? I would like to have a single book covering all the above topics.

I'd recommend HTML, XHTML and CSS All-in-one Desk Reference for Dummies by Andy Harris. It covers HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, PHP and MySQL.

I doubt you're going to find a book with all of those subjects, but have a look at apress.com, good place to get tech books. Plus you can learn most things about HTML and CSS for free from the internet.
Seems you might get that book after all, read Delan's answer.

ooh buddy, you wont really find a book that covers all these topics just right in one book - however I have something better.
These books just kick ass and they frequently have bargins to grab. The other day I brought 5 for 1 e-books and printed.

Ah yes, but I didn't say "You can't find the book" - I said *you wont really find a book that covers all these topics just right in one book* - And in my opinion I place no stock in the for dummies range. I know they work for some, but when I teach, I offer these sitepoints instead, there easier to digest - and I find they havesub sections you can reference of which is contrary to 'Dummies' *one book - one big project* idea - Kudos on your recommendation though.

You could use "Eric Meyer on CSS" Book.
Also another Eric Meyer book from O'Reily : CSS: The Definitive Guide
You can also get CSS Cookbook, 3rd Edition (Animal Guide)
These books are really good.
Of course you can also use Sitepoint.com it's absolutely a great resource.

Look no where. W3Schools has just the thing for you.
I have link bunched all the W3School links for the topics you were looking for
The best part of W3Schools is that it gives you examples to work with and also gives you a nice overview about the fundamentals about all the topics.
