Can anybody please describe the total walkthrough of the catalog product's price.phtml template file?
I have been trying to understand its full functionality, in how it implements its price logic, for the special price, wee price, regular price, and all of those; but have reached nowhere till now.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The point of asking this question is that I wanted to know the main logic used in this page, just by curiosity. Also custom shopping carts (like OSCommerce, CS Cart), doesn't seem to implement such huge logic which emphasis on wee tax & other taxes. So if anybody has any idea about the implementation logic of price related functionality in the "price.phtml" page of catalog products, that will be of a great help.
