I have access to Inside COM (By Dale Rogerson) and Essential COM (By Don Box). Which one should I start with to learn COM?

I have both, but as a complete COM beginner I found Inside COM more useful. It seemed to be more geared towards someone diving in and trying to make stuff work, rather than understanding all of the theory (which is good too - but not what I wanted at the time).

You can read Essential COM. Also do a google on specifics of COM which can give you in depth information. So you are working on what man. What about .Net or VC++.
