Can you elaborate on lack of V4L2 in Android Linux kernel? V4L2 kernel driver is included in standard Linux since before 4.6. Android Linux kernel contains Camera Driver. Are they not the same? There is number of online references about using V4L2 API on Android. Do they involve kernel modification?
