Ruby podcasts?

Can anyone recommend any podcasts on Ruby or that at least cover Ruby from time to time? I have only found rubiverse.com so far.

I'm not interested in Rails, though.

The Rails Envy podcast covers many non-rails ruby things, and is funny and entertaining.

Update: The Rails Envy podcast has been renamed to The Ruby Show, to reflect the fact that it's not just about Rails.

Still very good.

There's a huge pile over at Rubyology - I can't speak for quality yet because I only stumbled over it yesterday. Up to #69, so there's plenty to listen to.

And if you can stand to listen to something with "Rails" in it, I second the Rails Envy podcast recommendation.

But heck, why am I looking at my list? There's a great stackoverflow thread that discusses the topic. I've sampled a few of these and there's plenty that interested me.

It's really worth spreading your net a little wider than just Ruby - on my way home last night I listened to a FLOSS podcast interviewing the SQLite guy (D. Richard Hipp) and this morning I listened to the same guys talking with Ward Cunningham. Hard not to learn something interesting from people like that...

Railscasts are very good. They're Rails-specific, but they do give you a feel for how to do things "the ruby way."

I second the Rails Envy podcasts.

If you're interested in Ruby Metaprogramming I strongly recommend Dave Thomas' Pragmatic Screencasts. They cost a small fee, though.

Here is a general overview on YouTube (with a pretty wacky theme, but an earnest vid)

In full disclosure, I am affiliated with these people. I hope it's ok to post.

I'd like to point out that probably more than half of the Ruby on Rails podcasts are not about Rails or Rails-based sites at all. There's a lot to love in there even if you're just interested in Ruby.

I of course agree with everyone mentioning the Rails Envy podcast. Great production quality and fun, too.

Happy listening!

Check confreaks.com, they are videos of lectures given at many (mostly) Ruby conferences so you get a wide range of topics related to Ruby.
