I have an CSV export from an application, where the number values are formatted:
123[]456,78
where []
is a non-breaking space (
, ALT-0160, etc)
Excel is not accepting this as a valid thousands separator.
It will accept 123_456,78
where _
is a space, but not the non-breaking space character.
Short of changing the Regional Settings from nbsp to space, then re-exporting the CSV (and causing issues with numbers running off edges of lines in other applications), is there any other way to force Excel to accept the nbsp as a valid thousands separator?
It's a bit weird that Windows has this as standard if I change my Regional settings from UK English to French, yet Excel doesn't like it...
