Java certification roadMap

Question

I am a .net programmer for sometime, and I was thinking about getting a Java certification, but unlike .Net, Java is a mystery to me.

• What are good certification books?
• What is the roadmap for the certifications?
• Is that the best path, or the only path? http://in.sun.com/training/certification/java/

Kathy Sierra's book is definitely the best book for Java Certification. These other resources were mentioned on this question (I've added some more links and opinions):

• Thinking in Java by Bruce Eckel. I should add Head First Java since it's a great resource too, to get your head into Java.
• The Java Tutorial - for starters, since it's a mistery for you, maybe this is a good place to start.
• A study guide
• Java Ranch - forum with certification resources.

As for certification, the page you linked used to be the Sun offical certification resource. But it's Oracle's now, so you should check this link to start. I don't know if that part has been absorbed by Oracle's certification or there's a Sun and an Oracle certification for Java Certified Programmer. I asked this on my local JUG, but haven't received a concrete answer.
