Hi,

I just pointed newdomain.com to a folder(olddomain.com/folder) on my deluxe hosting account with Godaddy. The olddomain.com/folder has a Wordpress installed in it.

When using newdomain.com none of the images show up but work when i access the site from olddomain.com/folder.

I notice that when I enter the admin section for the Wordpress install the domain changes from newdomain.com to olddomain.com/folder and thus all the photos I upload use the olddomain.com/folder path. In the past I've corrected this issue by using absolute urls but this doesn't seem to work with the wordpress image upload features.

Ideally I would like to use newdomain.com only. Even have olddomain.com/folder point to newdomain.com

I have contact godaddy with the question but no response yet.

Hope someone could shed some light.

I have the same setup for one of my websites and the only thing needed to change was the configuration file at wp-config.php , make sure it's pointing to the new domain and not the old one since even though you will be able to access it, your blog may still think he is in the old one!

Also make sure that you've got the right settings at www.yoursite.com/wp-admin/options-general.php since there are two mentions to the domain on that page

nothing in the wp-config file that points to the old domain...this is wordpress 2.9.2
