Any opinions Ideas Reasons
Web development is my first choice but id want to go into developing games once i get more knowledge and become better at programming.

I would say that C++ or even C are probably better suited, for game development, than C# and/or ASP.NET... even if they are almost not used for web-development.
But, anyway, learning a couple of different languages cannot hurt ;-)

do i have to take any professional courses or is self-tutoring enough. and do i have to learn any specific subjects like physics, advanced mathematics etc-.

physics, advanced maths, and stuff like that : might be useful, for games ; I suppose it depends on what you'll work on ;;; professionnal course or self-tutoring : I suppose it depends on how you learn the best ;-) ;; but a diploma could be required to work in some companies...
