I know StackOverflow is related to programming and programming only. But I could not find a better place to ask these question as many people related to computers are available here. And I also know that my question is likely to be close, but here it is anyway.

While doing bachelors, we need to choose among few like Bachelors in Computing, Bachelors in IT, Bachelors in System Engineering. But what exactly is different among these degrees, which contains more scopes?

You should probably check up with what the programs at your university/college actually offers, but "Computing" sounds like Computer Science to me, i.e. something theoretical. System Engineering would probably be how to design/engineer software systems and IT is stuff with computers, not necessarily restricted to programming.

There aren't really any universal definitions. You can go 10 different places and see 10 different programs with the same name but different contents.

You should look at the courses in each to get an idea of what they focus on. Usually majors are split between programming (Computing), management (IT), and systems administration (System Engineering). They will all have a certain amount of cross over.

It's really about deciding what you want to start with. Programming is great because there is a lot of "consulting" projects you can do. The down side is you are competing with college kids who will gladly program for $10/hour (or less). 2 hours = 1 case of beer.

Systems admin/engineering probably has the most job security. If the systems aren't working, nobody is working. But a company may have 50 programmers for every sys admin.

Management, well, that takes time. And geeks don't like managers who don't understand what they are doing. And who would hire a manager with no experience?
