Drupal, Search module: restrict to only 1 content type

hi,

can I restrict the search engine (coming with the default Search module in Drupal) to specific content types ?

I have a content type "product" and I would like to use the search only to list them.

Faceted Search module is the only solution? I noticed I have to change configuration of my database for this module (and some hosting services do not provide privilegies for it).. thanks

The Search config module provides tweaks to the search index and the search form.

thanks, this module seems to provide customization options only for advanced search.. I've used "custom search" module to customize the base search

However I'm still not able to customize results. I would like, for exmaple, to add results item CCK images.. I've checked the "Display Fields" tab, and it is set correctly.. but I guess this is not a normal View.

To do things like that you may need to customize the search tpl.php file yourself. I was thinking of search config mostly for the search index control.
