How to Block images in watir ?

I am watir for some data fetching job and I dont really require any images to loaded. So I was wondering if it is possible since I want to speed up the process.

A: 

Disable displaying images in the browser Watir drives manually, and then run Watir script. As far as I know, you can not do it from Watir itself.
