Hi, i'm searching statistical data about, how many developers use Scrum in relation to other software development methods. I can't find one @google.

It's impossible to know.

The only number we know is the number of certified scrum masters (90000+), which means nothing since you get certified automatically when you attend to a training. And the number is very low compared to the developer's population. But lot of teams try to use scrum by reading books or blogs.

If you plan to try to convice your management to use scrum, don't tell them they should because lots of others team use it. Tell thzm you are going to use scrum because you the develeper they have hired and trust, will use it because you think it's what you have to do.

Thanks for the answer. I don't want to convince the management. I'm writing a bachelor thesis about scrum and I wanted to show statistically that scrum is the most popular in the agile world.

Ok then the best thing you should do is contacting few of the scrum brains including ken schwaber. They are more accessible than you think. You may also contact directly the two official scrum organisations including scrum.org and scrumalliance.org

May I suggest also contacting people who use methodologies other than Scrum, to avoid bias? The Agile Alliance are involved in more than just Scrum, and you might also consider contacting the Lean SSC.
