scan documents using wia auto document feeder in xp and above

Hello guys,

AM developing a scaning utility, that will scan using auto document feeder. i want to work on xp and above. The idea i have got is to use wia v1 for xp and wia v2 for vista, but i don't know how to go about it but i don't know much about the auto document feeder\
