I'm trying to automatically start a bunch of programs in screen with a bash script. When I start a screen session normally, my stty settings are are normal:

but if i start a screen session using
screen -d -m
which starts the screen detached. When I connect to it, the stty settings are all messed up

This is especially annoying because i generally use ^H as my backspace which is mapped to kill. Is there some way to start the detached screen with the settings that are automatically generated by just the straight screen command, or do i need to manually reset stty after i reattach?
