A typical telecom or datacom embedded product would involve things like an alarm subsystem, modules for "PM" (you know, the 15 minute, 24 hour etc. bins), high availability etc. I have some ideas in this regard and was wondering whether there are any open source projects that deal with such topics? As far as I could tell, Asterisk and OpenBTS don't have anything like this (I hope I am wrong about this but I couldn't find any references to such things there).
Any pointers are appreciated.
