Add HTML Signature to Mail on Osx

Hi,

can anybody tell me how to add a HTML Signature with Images to Mail 3.6 on OsX?

I tried following this tutorial: http://theappleblog.com/2009/08/07/how-to-getting-more-from-mail-with-html-signatures/

but none of the text in the example appears in the signature. It just stays blank.
